Who we are

Wayrally is operated as a solo software service. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].

What we collect

• Account data: email address (via magic-link sign-in) and optional display name and avatar URL you provide in your profile.
• Trip data: trip details, places, day plans, expenses, and membership roles you create or edit as part of group trip planning.
• Technical data: standard logs from our hosting provider (e.g. IP address, browser type, request timestamps) for security and reliability.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not run advertising trackers on the app.

How we use your data

We use your data to provide the service: authenticate you, store your trips, sync edits with your crew in realtime, and respond to support requests. Trip content is shared with members of each trip according to roles (owner, editor, viewer).

Third-party services

• Supabase — database, authentication, realtime sync, and file storage for avatars and place photos (data hosted in regions chosen in your Supabase project).
• Vercel — application hosting and edge delivery.
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim — optional place search and reverse geocoding when you search or click the map (queries sent to nominatim.openstreetmap.org).
• Google — optional sign-in via OAuth (if enabled in your project).
• Unsplash — optional cover image search when you use the cover picker (requires an API key on our side).
• Vercel Analytics — privacy-friendly pageview analytics without advertising cookies.
• Stripe — subscription billing for trip creators (Pro plan).
• Open-Meteo — optional weather forecast on the day plan when your trip places have coordinates (latitude, longitude, and trip dates sent to api.open-meteo.com).
• Frankfurter — optional exchange-rate lookup when you log an expense in a currency different from the trip currency (amount and date sent to frankfurter.app).

Email notifications

If enabled in your notification preferences, we email you about trip activity (for example when someone joins a trip, logs an expense, or when a trip start date is seven days away). Each message includes a link to update preferences without signing in. We do not send marketing newsletters through this channel.

Payments

Trip creators may subscribe to Wayrally Pro via Stripe. Payment card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not on our servers. We store subscription status, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, and renewal dates to enforce plan limits. Manage billing in the app or Stripe Customer Portal.

Retention

We retain account and trip data while your account is active. You can export your data or delete your account from Profile in the app. You may also contact [email protected].

Your rights (including GDPR)

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email above. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar storage for session authentication (Supabase Auth). Vercel Analytics may use lightweight first-party analytics without cross-site advertising trackers.

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
